Brief Introduction of Online Surveys
Many people predict that we are living in the golden age of information. Never before in the history of humanity has been so much information available to so many people at such low cost.
A world of information is just a few clicks away in age of Google. A common school going child has more access to information and more wealth of knowledge at his service than any notable scribble, theologian, or scholar in the classical age.
The amount of data that is present on public networks and that is indexed by search engines such as google, bing, blekko and others is just mind numbing. Firms such as these place or ‘host’ (as said in normal jargon) on huge server farms that make these billions of bytes that travel back and forth on networks possible.

Data certainly has changed how we interact with Online Surveys. Data has been an interesting by product with the rise of technology and computing in general. Nobody foresaw that at the advent of the information technology boom that data would be taking such an important place in the grand scheme of things.
Many people predict that data itself now could be considered a factor of production in this regard. Data is being used by large corporations especially in the finance sector to make forecasts in the future, manufacturing firms predict the amount and size of production they have to expand or contract their production depending on past reliable data, marketing firms may gauge by the data they have about demands of respective products and services that they market, by and large data is assisting many firms, governments and corporations in making important decisions and devising strategies.
A whole new data centric industry seems to be propping up along with it. There are consultancy firms that singularly focus on giving their expertise to firms on how best to handle their data. Adding to that, data collection is being increasingly crowd sourced in the form of paid Surveys by their added convenience they are very popular among web surfers especially the websites that have online Surveys that way more and more people are induced to fill in questionnaires that they offer.
