If you have started doing some job from your residence, it is very necessary to plan your work timing. This all depends upon the work that you have chosen – if you are working for one company and the job that you do for them requires say 8 hours of the day, you can set a time table in the same way as a regular 9 to 5 office job. At home you are free; you are your own master.
You will have the freedom to change this routine as and when you need to. This is the only difference between a job from home and a regular office job and today even working at home pays well.

If you are a freelancer you will have to look for new opportunities constantly, and may be start working on contract basis for even more than one company at one time to iron out your finances. If you are doing so you will have to do multiple jobs.
You will need to keep track of the payouts you are entitled to and further keep record of all the expenses that you have incurred. In short you will be doing a to of accountancy also, and this will reduce the time available for doing the job that you are intended to do. Thus you need to plan your timings properly, so as to spend your time with your family and to get proper rest too.
